Among the generations of this world, Walked many different energies, Entities, Spirits & Frequencies.
Knowledge was past and replaced, much of was accumulated within us and around us, passed on from mother to daughter in the many cultures that evolved throughout time and walked this earth (and even beyond this earth).
Each generation left a great deal of symbols, traces of documentations for future reference of the rituals and practices that once took place upon this earth. These practices & rituals are as many as the grains of sand on the beach, most of which are refinements older belief systems.
YOU WOULDN’T BELIEVE HOW MANY OF TODAY’S COSTUMS ORIGINATE FROM THESE ANCIENT PAGAN TRADITIONS.
What is Wicca, Really...?
Originated on European Land, The Word itself derived from the Anglo-Saxon word WICCE which means WISE.
the Wicca were the order of the wise folk who served as consuls for the ancient kings until Christianity took over the lands.
These Wise folk had knowledge in Occult, Mathematics, Astrology, Medicine, Agriculture, statesmanship etc.
it just so happens that the word WICCE, Meaning Wise was also a variation of the word Witch or Wizard , who served as healers, knowledgeable in herb medicine, consultants, midwives who always lived slightly further away from the community- closer to the gaping woods. these people lived by nature and the earth’s cycles and kept traditions around lunar cycles as tradition had it be.
as the church took over, all pagan – followers of ancient beliefs and traditions had to go underground, untul there were none left to the naked eye.
until a certain day in the year 1951 when a particular man stood out and announced he was a living practicing witch of the old tradition Wicca… (He claimed to have revived it from it’s slummbering hidden ways, some believe he created based on various pagan traditions he encountered in his life traveling) This man was Gerald Gardner – The Grandfather of modern Wicca.
Wicca Practitioners believe that when strengthening ones trust in their ability to harness and wield the energy within them in coloration and harmony with the energy of universe, they can engage the electro magnetic field around them to affect consequences of nature – in other words – consciously attatching intention to result. (Whispering Reality)/
Wicca Tradition celebrates mother nature and father moon- all sacred festivals and celebrations bless the abundance of nature and intuition of the moon. Wiccans believe in Duality of nature- Male and Female. Plus & Minus. Giving & Receiving. Therefore, The Devine is both God & Goddess.
Wicca is a way of life not a religion! it resides in our every day life, our consciousness , rooted within, it is important that if one considers herself a witch she is bound to constant learning and evolving, respecting of free will and the course of nature in its truest form.
